About Susan
Susan Forbes is a network television producer and senior media adviser based in Washington, D.C. She has produced for CNN, CNN International, Comcast/NBCUniversal, Headline News, Middle East Broadcasting, and United Nations Television, among others. As a media advisor, she has represented a range of large institutional clients in national security, defense, travel and tourism, and professional sports.
Her clients’ productions have aired in more than 120 countries through AP Television News, BBC World Service, CNN, CNN International, CNN en Español, Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, Middle East Broadcasting, TV Azteca, and United Nations Television. More recently, she traveled to Africa as a field producer of Rwanda: The Royal Tour, profiling President Paul Kagame. The one-hour program, hosted by CBS News Travel Editor Peter Greenberg, airs on Public Television.
Earlier in her career, Forbes was a CNN medical and feature news producer for 10 years in Atlanta, and a supervising producer at Middle East Broadcasting Centre in London. She has covered the global response to HIV and AIDS in Africa, filming in 10 sub-Saharan countries; produced a series for the United Nations on World Water Day, bringing international attention to the challenges of water quality in cities facing rapid population growth; and managed the media and communications rollout of the 2004 U.S. Surgeon General’s Report: The Health Consequences of Smoking.
Her other clients have included Brand USA, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, TenCate, World Bank, and the World Health Organization. Forbes is also a Volunteer Engagement Lead for the National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region of the American Red Cross.
